Recurring charges from merchants like streaming services, gyms, software tools or subscription boxes must be cancelled with the merchant directly.
Bitzaro cannot end a subscription on your behalf, because the agreement is between you and the merchant. We can, however, block future charges if a merchant is not cooperating.
Step 1: Cancel with the merchant
Sign in to the merchant's app, website or service and look for Account, Billing, Subscription or Membership.
Use the merchant's own Cancel option to end the subscription.
Save the cancellation confirmation email or screen, you may need it later as proof.
Some merchants require you to email or call to cancel. Their published cancellation policy is the source of truth for what is acceptable.
Step 2: Stop the next charge if it is imminent
If your renewal is just hours away and the merchant won't process the cancellation in time, freeze your card temporarily under Manage Card β Freeze. The freeze causes pending recurring charges to be declined.
Unfreeze the card again as soon as the renewal date passes, leaving the card frozen also blocks all your normal spending.
Step 3: If a charge still goes through after you cancelled
Contact the merchant first with your cancellation confirmation and request a refund.
If the merchant refuses or stops responding, email [email protected] with: the merchant name, the dates of the unwanted charges, your cancellation confirmation, and any messages with the merchant.
We can block further attempts from that merchant on your card and, where eligible, raise a chargeback through the Visa network. Chargebacks must be raised within the network's time limits, please contact us as soon as you spot the issue.
Free trials that auto-convert
Most free trials roll into a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Set a reminder for the day before the trial ends, and use the merchant's cancel flow before that date.
If the trial converts to a paid plan and you did cancel in time, send the confirmation to [email protected], we can block the charge and dispute it on your behalf.
Note: Bitzaro will never ask you to share your card PIN, full card number, CVV or any verification code by email or message. If a merchant or someone claiming to be Bitzaro asks for these, do not share them and report it via How to Report Suspicious Activity. |
